On December 28, 2016, an academic forum was held in the Faculty of History in NKU. Associate Professor Dong Xiaojia from Guangxi Normal University of Historical Culture and Tourism, was invited to give a lecture at NKU’s Postgraduate Academic Forum. Associate Professor Wu Peng from NKU, hosted the event. More than 100 students and teachers, including Associate Professor Zheng Wei, lecturer Pang Guoqing and doctor Yu Chenzhen, attended the forum.
After introducing the background of the early history of the Byzantine Empire, Associate Professor Dong Xiaojia analyzed the relationship between the Concept “Early Byzantine Empire” and “the late Rome Empire”. Based on various original papers, he shared his views on “The coexistence and exchange of early Byzantine Culture” in terms of civil servants and military. The attendees asked several interesting questions and got valuable suggestions.
