On May 12, the History of North America workshop was held by the Faculty of History at Nankai University. Prof. Wang Xi from Peking University and Indiana University was invited to give a lecture. The lecture was presided over by Associate Professor Dong Yu. About 30 students and scholars, including Prof. Song Hualin from Nankai University School of Law, Prof. Zhao Xuegong, Prof. Fu Chengshuang, and Associate Professor Xiao Jun attended the seminar.
During the workshop, concentrating on questions of American History research, Prof. Wang Xi explained the new trend of global history in the American History research field. He also shared some research experiences in choosing thesis topics and collecting primary sources. His lecture in NKU brought the most in-depth and systematic introduction of research on American history to teachers and students here, and triggered audiences' interest in this research field successfully. As an experienced scholar, Prof. Wang Xi's rigorous academic attitude and his rich knowledge did impress teachers and students in NKU.
