On the afternoon of April 25, 2017, the 8th Series Lectures of the emeritus professor of history at Nankai University, organized by the Faculty of History, was held in Jinnan Campus. Prof. Cao Zhongpin, the retired professor in the Faculty of the History, the director of the Institute for Korean Research at Nankai University, gave a lecture entitled “A Brief Introduction of Korean History Research”. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Sun Weiguo. About 20 faculty and students from Nankai University attended the lecture.
Before the lecture, Prof. Jiang Pei, Dean of the Faculty of History at Nankai University, granted a certification to Prof. Cao Zhongpin for his excellent research achievements in Korean History over the years.
During the lecture, Prof. Cao Zhongpin introduced basic concepts of Korean History and analyzed its history from prehistory to present. He also shared his experiences in the study of Korean History. Focused on “Pyongyang today”, Prof. Cao Zhongpin showed pictures in Pyongyang where he attended academic conference. In the Q&A session, Prof. Li Fan, as well as the faculty and students present at the lecture asked questions, and Prof. Cao Zhongpin's answers won many applauds.
