From May 12th to 14th, 2017, Prof. Jiang Pei, Dean of faculty of History in NKU, and Prof. He Jiangfeng attended the International conference in Hong kong. The conference, with the theme “The History of the Republic of China in MinGuo Period”, was organized by the Institute of Chinese Studies, supported by the Hong Kong Early Light Company and Mingyuan Education and Culture Foundation. 30 Scholars from Academia Sinica, National Chengchi University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Sun Yat-sen University, Peking University, Nankai University, Fudan University, Central China Normal University, the Second Historical Archives of China, Keio University, and Silla University attended the conference.
Prof. Jiang Pei gave a speech on psychological situation of the people who cooperated with Puppet Manchukuo Government. Prof. He Jiangfeng explained the relationship between Huang Fu and the North China Crisis in 1935. Both of their presentations attracted attention and produced a lively discussion in conference. The conference was highly recognized by the academia and doomed to have a great influence on the development of the research on the Republic of China History.
