The I Cihng also known as Classic of Changes or Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese divination text and the oldest of the Chinese classics. The Author, Prof. Zhu Yanmin from the Faculty of History in Nankai University, through his deep reflections and numerous new archaeological materials, reveals that the I Cihng is based on historical facts and is also a development of the Yi-ology. Prof. Zhu has reviewed quite a few typical cases with a new perspective of history, each of which is very different but interesting to read. The book “The Study on the Yi-ology from the Perspective of History”, based on vivid archaeological materials, proposed some innovative opinions on several issues, which have filled the blanks in academic researches and could be of certain reference for the diviners and scholars in a concerned area.
