The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China opened at 9 am on October 18, 2017 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered a report to the 19th CPC National Congress on behalf of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.
To learn the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, the Faculty of History in NKU Party Committee invited the Associate Prof. Xiao Wenguang from the School of Marxism to give a lecture for the faculty and students on November, 11, 2017. Hosted by the secretary of the party committee in the Faculty of History, faculty and student representatives gathered together to attend the lecture.
Prof. Xiao pointed out that the theme of the report, “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, hold high the banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and work tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.” He also illustrated 13 parts of the report and emphasized on the historic mission of the Communist Party of China and NKU.
The attendees expressed that they thoroughly studied and understood the importance of Xi Jinping thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era.
