Recently, the WeChat official account of “Political Scientists” launched the activity of selecting the most popular academic works in 2019, and the Complete Works of Liu Zehua (12 volumes) by a professor from the Faculty of History were selected.
The selection was made from more than 70 political science works recommended by major publishing houses. In the first round of selection, 22,000 readers read the post and 18,800 votes from 12,200 readers were cast. The top 20 works that received the greatest number of votes entered the second round of selection. In the second round of selection, 135 professors and associate professors from 39 universities and research institutes participated in the voting, and a total of 500 votes from 100 experts were received. Under the rule that readers and experts each account for 50% of the votes, 10 books were finally selected. The list of books is as follows:
