Liu Xiaoqin

Liu Xiaoqin, female, was born in Xinjiang County, Shanxi Province. She graduated from the History Department of Shanxi University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in history. In 1996, she was admitted to the Department of History of Nankai University, where she studied the history of modern and contemporary China under Professor Li Xisuo, and received a master’s degree and doctorate in history. In July 2002, she remained at the university as a teacher and is now a teacher of modern and contemporary Chinese history at the Faculty of History.

Her research interests mainly include modern and contemporary Chinese history, cultural history in modern and contemporary China, history of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and the history of China’s education for studying abroad.
