Liu Yi
Liu Yi, male, born in March 1964 in Tianjin, without party affiliations. He graduated from Tianjin No. 1 High School in July 1983, graduated from Nankai University with a bachelor’s degree in law and history in July 1987, received a master’s degree in history from Nankai University in June 1993, and received a doctorate in history from Nankai University in July 1999. From August 2000 to August 2001, he served as a visiting scholar at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, sponsored by the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies.
In July 1987, he took a museology-related job at the Department of History of Nankai University (changed to the Department of Cultural Relics and Museology of the Faculty of History in 2001), serving as assistant librarian and lecturer. He was promoted to associate professor in December 1995, selected as a member of the third academic team of Nankai University in 1997, and was promoted to professor in December 2001. He served as an Assistant to the Dean of the Department of History from October 1998 to September 1999, and the dean of museology from March 1999. In March 2002, he became the assistant dean of the Faculty of History, and in May 2003, he resumed his term of office as the dean of the Department of Cultural Relics and Museology. He is the leader of archaeology and museology discipline at Nankai University.
